Terms of Service
Last updated: May 19, 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing type2.wiki you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Not medical advice
type2.wiki is informational only and is not medical advice. Content is compiled by patients and volunteers from public sources. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional for diagnosis, treatment, and medication decisions. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here. The serum level calculator and any guidance on dosing are educational tools and must not be used to alter your prescribed regimen.
3. Not legal advice
Information on insurance appeals, external reviews, and patient rights is informational only and is not legal advice. Laws change. The processes vary by state, by insurer, and by specific plan. For binding guidance about your situation, consult a licensed attorney or your state insurance department.
4. AI-generated content (general)
When AI-assisted tools are made available on type2.wiki, all output is generated by language models that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, fabricated, or out-of-date information. AI-generated text must be reviewed by you (and, where appropriate, a qualified professional) before being acted on. type2.wiki and its contributors disclaim all liability for AI-output errors.
5. AI Appeal Letter Generator — specific terms
The AI Appeal Letter Generator produces a draft letter you may choose to send to an insurer. By using it you acknowledge and agree:
- Draft only, not legally sufficient by itself. The output is a starting point. It is not a finished filing, a substitute for an attorney’s letter, or a guarantee of compliance with any state, federal, or plan-specific procedural rule.
- No professional relationship. Using the generator does not create an attorney-client, patient-advocate, physician-patient, or fiduciary relationship between you and type2.wiki, its operators, or its contributors.
- You are responsible for verifying everything before filing. This includes citations, statutory references, regulatory references, factual claims about your case, and especially deadlines. Insurance appeal deadlines are short, and missing one can permanently extinguish your appeal rights. We make no representation that filing windows shown in the generator or in the site’s state guides are current for your specific plan.
- No outcome warranty. We make no warranty, express or implied, that any generated letter will result in approval of your claim, reversal of a denial, or any specific outcome. Insurance coverage decisions remain at the discretion of your insurer, the regulator, or an external reviewer.
- Not for emergencies. If you have an urgent medical need, do not rely on this tool or wait on an appeal. Contact your physician, call 911, or for behavioral-health emergencies call or text 988 in the United States.
- Third-party processing. Generating a draft sends your redacted inputs through third-party services (currently Amazon Web Services and Anthropic). See the Privacy Policy for the data-flow detail.
- In-browser PII handling. The generator is designed so your name, member ID, claim number, and mailing address never leave your browser. You remain responsible for not pasting that information into the free-text fields, which are transmitted.
6. External links
We link to third-party resources (clinical trials, journal articles, government and patient-advocacy sites). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of those sites.
7. User-submitted content
General contributions. If you submit corrections, suggestions, or contact-form messages, you grant type2.wiki a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and republish that content on the site with attribution at our discretion.
Letter-generator inputs are different. Text you enter into the AI Appeal Letter Generator (denial letter text, prior-authorization text, OCR-extracted text) is processed ephemerally to produce your draft. We do not retain it for republication or any other secondary use, and the perpetual license in the paragraph above does not apply to letter-generator inputs.
You warrant that any document text you paste or upload is yours to share, or that you have authority to share it.
8. Prohibited uses
You agree not to:
- Use the AI Appeal Letter Generator to submit a high volume of automated requests, scrape the service, or otherwise abuse rate limits
- Attempt to extract, copy, or reverse-engineer the underlying language models, prompts, or evidence corpus
- Attempt to bypass bot-mitigation, geo-restriction, or rate-limiting controls
- Use the site or generator to harass another person, including by generating letters about a third party without their consent
- Submit content that infringes another’s rights or violates applicable law
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, type2.wiki, its operators, contributors, and affiliated parties are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site, including but not limited to medical decisions, insurance outcomes, denied appeals, missed deadlines, inaccurate citations in generated letters, or loss of data.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless type2.wiki and its contributors from any claim arising from your use of the site or violation of these terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
